I doubt it's that much of an issue with so many cars driving around nowadays on aftermarket rims.

A copper is the last to know whether their patrol car came with 225's or 235's, let alone what your pig came with.

my 2c.. 19s for the street and if u want to do some racing keep ur 17s..

Otherwise 18s would be a good compromise to use for both street and race

BlackSTi - I guess it also comes down to the offset you run. I run an 18x8.5 rim, but the offset is +52, so it sits inside the guard a little, and therefore doesn't look so suspicious!

My line of thinking though is when some turd cleans you up and you need a rim or two replaced if you turn around and give the wheel specs to the insurance company and they are illegal then good bye payout.

Be great if I can go wider but don't think I can.

You are allowed to go 1" (25mm) wider than the manufactures settings, so as long as you fall into that you are fine.
