Yes ECUTek for MY08 WRX and STi is $1995 all up...and the reason for the increase over earlier versions is that with SI drive, the tuner basically has to tune two maps instead of one.
And good luck waiting for the Verso version.....have you been given a time line?

they are still to get verso for libbos with si drive so will be a similar problem. Saying that, now that both sti's and libbos come with si drive, might be a better chance of investing time & effort into developing a verso flash for them.

I doubt it will be anytime soon, primary reason why ive held off on ordering an 08 sti as well.

Pretty sure just looking at the ecu subaru cant tell if its been verso'ed or not. Saying that if your going to mod you can forget about the warranty anyway.

With all that said im with you Sat, i will be waiting for a while before i even think of purchasing a new STi, just to allow for the mainstream of things to wind up producing stuff for the new generation of wrxs' such as coolers, intakes, tunes being a big one. No point buying one, realising you cant do any mods to it and getting all shitty heh.

That and the fact that something nice might come out before then. Insert R35GT-R....mmmmm
