unless you get TEK3 they don't tune, it's a preprogrammed map.

All ECUTek can be tuned. An ECUTek 2 is a "more tuned 1" and a 3 is a "more tuned 2"...so 1 is the base tune and 3 is the dyno tune with 2 in between and not done on a dyno. If you switch tuners, they will have to re-tune since the new tuner can't see & access the old tuner's program.
So to switch it will cost you a tune & maybe dyno time. MMS are excellent for ECUTek and they work very closely with MRT and are the first in Aust to do an MY06 STi. |

MMS looked after our MY04 wrx from day 1, and they were fantastic.
started with just the tek3, then full turbo back exhaust, pump etc, retune, then VF35 and retune, then hyperflow tmic, injectors and retune and so on. Power was awesome and the daily drivability with the tunes were perfect (literally). never had a single niggle. i wouldn't hesitate to recommend Steve to even the most fussy driver.

Not meaning to hijack this thread or anything, but just a few questions I have about ecutek..
Can you go straight to tek3? or do you have to go 1, then 2 and then 3? I understand 1 is mild tune, 2 is a more detailed tune and 3 is a very detailed tune. Does ecutek have any antilag features available for it? |

You can go straight to 3. My Foz XT got tek 2'd and dynoed by Race Torque. Only took them around an hour and a half. Very Impressed

I can't comment on a MMS ecutek tune (although i was happy with their autronic tune on my old car), but I'd give RT a for their custom tune on my current car - very happy with the result since Day 1.
