Roll Centre Kit
Need to get my car lowered soon and was wondering what difference the Roll Centre Kit will make? Feedback from anyone that has drive with and without it would be great.
Only about an extra $250 to have it fitted whilst im having the car lowered, worth it?

it lowers the geometry of the car and brings the centre of gravity lower, helping to negate understeer. Not sure about your model WRX, but it was pretty recommended with my 02.

Ive got one. But I did it at the same time as many other suspension mods.
From all I've read... When you lower your car the centre of roll moves lower away from the centre of gravity. This causes excessive body roll. So the roll centre kit moves the centre of roll back up closer to the centre of gravity and reduces body roll.

Ludwig... what differences did you notice on the RS?
(And I suppose I should ask what other general suspension mods you've done to get a better picture...)

i put a roll centre kit in my old car at the same time as an anti-lift kit and the difference was very noticable. not sure which was doing more but definately made a difference!
edit: i noticed the steering become sharper/more responsive and helped clean a bit of the understeer out of the car

Don't wish to nag, but could people be a little more specific as to the 'differences' noted?
Helps me/ others nut out what mods are effecting what aspects of handling etc... Cheers.

unfortunately, like most people, i did my Roll Centre Kit at the same time as lowering, but I think the car definately turns in better.

I did my coilovers at the same time as the roll centre kit so my experience using a roll centre kit may be exaggerated because of the coilovers. My total suspension mods are: HSD HR Coilovers with 7Kg Front 5Kg Rear Anit Lift Kit Roll Centre Kit Whiteline 22mm front sway bar + HD Links Cusco Front strut brace Whiteline 24mm adjustable rear sway bar set to medium + Modified OEM Metal drop links. China Spec Rear strut brace

From what I have read about the kit, there should be an even more noticeable difference once you've lowered the car- as the kit is designed to address the issues that occur to other suspension components when people go lowering their cars.
I believe the kit seems to address/ re-position the arms to reflect closer to where they should intially be sitting in relation to the OEM wheel/ hub positions? PS- How long did it take you to find a rear strut brace mate? LOL!!

You might have trouble finding someone who hasn't done the roll centre kit and coilovers at the same time Joel. Did Franz do them separately on his MR?
