Hi, does anyone have an idea how much it costs for a new key for a 01 wrx (with central locking buttons) i only have one and had a bit of a scare when i lost it for 2 days, thanks,

On this topic how would you go getting a spare cut without knowing the VIN of the car? My car being a conversion I have no details for the key.

and on another note how does one go changing a flat battery in a 03's remote??

subaru dont cut keys off your vin, they only give you the correct key with the correct profile. Either the dealer or you/your mechanic can get them cut.

There is a small phillips screw in the front of the key.

Un screw it and there the small battery will be.

not sure what number battery you will need its a CRxxx.

Its a common one that you can buy for a few $$.
