@itgrips - how much did you drop your car from stock height? I am going to drop mine and am trying to decide whether to drop it 20mm or 40mm... don't want to continually drive sideways over bumps.

When I first put the coilovers on the wrx I had to pick my missus up from work and was running late so I didn't bother rolling the car back and forwards to check the real height. It ended up sitting on the tyres making the most horrible noise the whole way to whitfords and back and cut the tyres rofl. Luckily no damage to the car!

I would say thats to low.

Also before my rx7's motor blew I used to have it on 16" watanabes (like inital d style rims) lowered as low as I could go and the car had a very thin small bodykit so the exhaust sat only a few mm off the ground, ever bump it scraped and I didnt bother going over speed bumps unless I had to, I'd just drive around them.

That was fun but to low.

I like where the wrx sits now, a couple of mm off the tyres, perfect no rub and rarely scrape the exhaust.

i really need to drop mine a little bit - just trying to figure out what springs to go for - i don't want a hard ride tho so it will probably only be something like 25ish mm
