Try Autowest. They usually have genuine parts and they are open sat and sun. Problem is they are in Mandurah.

YES. When I first got my car it had a non genuine one in there. although you couldnt tell by looking at the dash guage, when I installed my ECUDatascan screen, I could see the temps were fluctuating all over the place. On the freeway for example... instead of maintaining a nice 88C like it does now with my genuine one, the non genuine was constantly going up to 98C then dropping back to 85, then up, then down again.

Genuine FTW!

Chee, if you need one, Ive got a 6 month old spare with a gasket sitting here you can have for $20.

How can you tell that is because it was non-genuine, you can get dud goods. it is possible that the goods itself was a reject, and subaru are'nt perfect themselves. Noone is, spose we'll see. Im getting 86-88C in my car atm but can flucuate up to 91-93 and that, for all i know, is a genuine thermostat. On the way out id assume.

Bought a non-genuine Thermostat and will install it tomorrow. Aparently its ment to run around the 82-84 degree mark from a few responses i had on a previous topic.

Yeh true that... I've had two dud (genuine) thermo's in a row for the Libby before I scored a good one. May have been a batch issue perhaps?
