The prices will definitely not be the same, but i hope this turns out, save as and it should be bigger.. these are the sizes with speed/load ratings, ripped out of our kumho catalogue at work. Pete |

I never understand why a 18 X 235 is SO much cheaper than a 225...more rubber!

225 would need a reinforced sidewall, hence the additional cost.

yeah, also, the 235-40-18 tyre is most common, commodore, falcon, skyline, magna, camry etc.. so more common, the cheaper !

I did, (245/40/18 - stock size for 08 sti) have been out the track since i got them but on the road they are far quieter and offer way better grip than the factory dunlop sp600's. I got mine for $240 each....they want over 500 to replace the dunlops.
they have been selling like hotcakes here on the east coast, almost everyone i know that has bought a set of tyres lately has bought these, and the track guys i know have bought a few sets each. Some are claiming its as grippy as a toyo 888 or the old v70 kumho track tyre. |
