Default Helmets

Before you say it, I searched and read all the old posts ..

Just want some oppinions, decided it is time to get one and stop borrowing my mates. I was thinking of a full face bike helmet. Am I better off with an open face, I am going to be using it for motorkhana and sprint stuff. What do you guys use?

Cheers

Full face Motorcycle helmet is not ideal, they usually are fairly heavy to stop the rider's head buffeting at 200+.
I'd recomend the lightest open face helmet you can fit in your budget. If it's a $69 postie bike helmet that's fine for Sprints and stuff, just don't use it in an open wheeler.

Cheers, thought a few hundy on a helmet should suffice, do not want to go overboard but do not want to get the cheapest, don't play with safety IMO.

Will just go try some on and see how I go I guess.

I've only ever had full face, as i like to take my own helmet to O'conner indoor karts and shit, and your only allowed closed face there.

Kawasaki country down here had a massssssive range, i picked up a nice full face with removeable visor with 80 bucks couple of years ago. Does fine for me as i was only doing drift events at Collie, and small autocross events.
