Yeah cheers the bare metal bit a good idea, living in hillarys the salt in the air sure likes metal. All I could do at the time was cringe, I thought it was gunna go all the way up the car was waiting, heh lucky my arm wasnt out the window.

I try where possible to position myself to either side of the lane to either give them heaps of room or cut off any possibility of them even trying. Doesn't stop some floggers though who don't seem to care about driving up 90 degree curbs.

Yea know how ya feel. Have to get the bonnet fixed after that wanker in Hobart. Have got a few stone chips from the return trip so would probably spend the $400 on respraying it shortly anyway just the hassle of having to drop it off south of freo ( Benson is doing it ) when I'm north of the river and picking the thing up again. Also not having it for 2 or 3 days on R&R.

If it makes you feel any better my wife managed to let the boom gate at her building at work smash down on bonnet and scrape it right back to bare metal, respray of VW GT bonnet w/ metallic paint aint going to be cheap. At least your ok, didn't lose an arm or worse and cars can be repaired. Smash down a few beers and you wont even remember it.
