Alternatively, you could just learn on a 'Real Driving Simulator'... for instance, Gran Turismo.

Hehehehhe

first things first, the situation shouldnt of even occured where you were heading into a corner on a street at 100km/hr. second thing, is to learn what your car can do. after talking to you about your prang, it was to my understanding that you thought awd was going to enable you to do corners at such speeds....

understeer/oversteer can happen to any driver with any car, no matter how high their driving skills are or how good their car is.
is how the driver handle and react that counts.
so for me; i was able dodge the pole and hit the kerb for less damage.
'maybe' for you: you will go straight into the pole and even panic in the driver seat. assuming that you are still on L or P with less then a year driving experience. you might know more then me in theory but only with time and partical experience also counts. so basically, you need to know that:
Theory + Experience = Good Skills
and when a guy who doesnt even have as much driving experience as i do suggest i go to driving school, i get offended.

Oversteer and understeer shouldn't happen on a car unless:
a) you want it to
b) something has failed
c) the road surface is offering less grip at one end of the car than it was previously.

on 99.9% of occasions, if you've got unwanted oversteer or understeer, its because you don't understand the limits of the car, and you've just asked it to do something that it can't.

That's what i reckon anyway.

tip, my parents have been driving for 30+ years, does that make them good drivers? no. common missconception. although they have driven that long i still consider them to be bad drivers. and practically yes there have been periods where i was going to crash. 3 incidents included oversteer and 2 of understeer. all incidents i have come out unscaithed and my car hasnt even been in a prang. and finanlly i wasnt commenting on your driving, i was talking about knowing the limits of your car.

back on topic: cool lights geoff!
