Default Boost Gauge Problem (rattling)

I've got a (venom) boost gauge that was installed when I got my WRX, and when boost comes on, there's a rattling noise coming from the gauge, as though the boost is pulsing rapidly. The harder I accelerate, the louder this sound is.

Is it a lousy gauge? Or could it be possibly tapped into wrong location? It was already installed when I got the car so I'm not too sure where it is tapped into.

Thanks!
