Default 1998 wrx model number plz help

gday

i have a 1998 wrx and just trying to find out info about it

on google it come up as rb5 but i dont thing that is right

model number gc8gk8d
engine ej205nw1kd
option code em

please help anyone

Definately wont be an RB5, they were not available in OZ.

What sort of info are you after on it?

i think he wants to know if its a MY98 or a MY99.

do your front calipers have a 'subaru' on them? if it does then its my99. if it doesnt then its my98. unless the previous owner has upgraded the calipers.

Another simple one... The front bar/front indicators are slightly different.

MY99-00 being smaller.

MY98 being slightly bigger, kind of curved around the front bar.

Easiest way is to look at the inlet manifold. If coil pack is in the centre - MY98, if it is closer to the passenger side - MY99

yer mate coils are on the left hand side
mate i got 1 more question do the oz wrx come with varible cam timming
