Not right actually, my mods have only voided the sub-section of the warranty that the mods are concerned with (so they say). Eg, tbe voids the exhaust / wiring / sensors around (no heat shealding), Springs void suspension. Everything else is covered still.

Till you make a claim. Keep tellin yourself that!

TBE will void your engine if it pops.

Tuning will void your engine if it pops.

Ask Subaru direct their thoughts on an full turbo back exhaust, diff back is fine, not turbo back.

If the cause of an issue can be blamed on a mod, they will. In saying that, if you have a good relationship with your Subaru dealership/mechanics, usually these things are overlooked if the part is a quality item.

I did, I rang them up before I bought it, talked to the service department and the service technicians, they said that it doesnt change the engine / gearbox / turbo / etc warranty. Don't assume I just said that without knowing what im talking about.
Plus, my car isn't tuned so that isn't a concern anyway.
I did say too "(so they say)". I do know they would try to say no, it's been modded, warranty doesn't cover it anymore but that's why I rang up and DID ask them direct.

Get it in writing?

Thats why I don't doubt they would still say, it's because of the mods that it broke and refuse to fix it under warranty lol.
Atleast I did still ring and ask :P Who knows.. they may be nice and say oh ok, well fix it.

If your engine pops it is likely to not be covered if something like boost spike caused the pop!

If you have an exhaust and your oil pickup falls off and the engine starves of oil then you may still be covered - just depends on how likely the failure was to be caused by what you did in the way of mods.

No-one is assuming you dont know what your saying - but most of us have experiences and investigations of our own to speak of and they don't concur with what you came up with.

Yeah I know, it's all unfair with dealerships. I didn't realise untill after I bought it that the air con didn't have gas but it was too late and I had to pay $168 for a re-gas with the filling dye. It also seems that everything theyve found wrong so far isn't covered by warranty.. I want my extra warranty charges worth in reapirs lol!
