Do you have any more details or links from these tests Kato? I'll take your word for it and am glad you've said to keep the stock setup as now I don't have to pull my intake apart :D but I'd like to have a look for myself.

I removed mine the other day and it deffinately makes a difference in sound, I can hear the turbo spool up and the air sucking in the filter. Not sure if there is any performance gain but there deffinately isn't any performance loss. I'm looking into cutting the lower part of the resinator off and re installing it to make a sort of cold air induction for it.
