Talking D.I.Y Snorkus Removal, Pipe Replacement

Hi all,

I was chatting to Munya and Dom at the Summer Cruise re snorkus removal, but forgot to ask where do I go to purchase the link up pipe when the snorkus box is removed (U shpe pipe). Can any one point me in the right direction please and roughly how much?
Cheers

Are you talking about a U shaped pipe inside the guard back to where the CAI is in the engine bay??

Leave the stock airbox as it is. Removing the snorkel thing will only make more noise and less performance.

Tests have been done to confirm this.

Just wondering, would you say that is true for all models??

Ive had mixed feedback about the removal of the box, some say it provides a less restricted airflow, but by the sounds of it, it may be just the noise factor??

hmmm... well I have had snorkus removed for some time now, with just extra noise/stock BOV sound.

Scott has recently helped me fit a fiberglass CAI into the guard that is fed air from the airdams at the bottom of the bumper and butts up against the stock airbox. I must admit there is extra pull at the higher RPM.

Will be interesting to hear other peoples opinions and experiences.

I removed mine quite a while back.

I cant really say i noticed any improvement or reduction in performance but was well worth it just for the extra induction noise and being able to hear the stock bov.
