STi Spoiler.
Hi all,
Just a quick question re MY05 STi spoilers. Is there a seal around the base that meets the bootlid? Cheers, Joe. |

do u mean like a sealer around the L where it joins. Or a base rubber that lines inbetween for a seal?
Don't most have something like sikaflex (not sure spelling) inbetween for a seal? |

I thought that there would be a foam gasket around the edge, or at least around the bolt holes.

Yes sealed - if original sticky foam is stuffed or missing use sikaflex (black semi hardening sealant) seals better than original seal too

Yeah mine had foam all around the edging when i bought it second hand. I replaced it all though with some new foam that i bought from Bunnings.

There is definitely a seal on the 06 STi and guess it would be the same. Had it replaced once under warranty cos it was coming out the rear. Stupid head mechanic at Ossie Park asked who fitted it
Lasted about 9 months and it started to work its way out again. Boot doesn't leak though so never bothered to get them to do it a second time.
