Angry Wanted: Legal rims/tyres to clear canary

Hello all

Well cruising round the block to check the Wrx, happened to come across a booze bus on ocean reef rd, which after blowing zero decided to make my night by giving me a sticker. Was fantastic as the wrx had been off the rd for a month and had just got it going 20 minutes before. So now as i have the job of getting it back to standard i am looking to borrow a set of legal rims and tyres to borrow to put it over the pits on.
I am also looking for advise as to what they look for these days as it has been many years since having a sticker and unsure what to expect when i get there.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Nathan

lol, I went thru that booze bus on the way home yesterday arvo, suprised they waved me thru. The next time I came down Ocean Reef, I went left at the flower guy there, and thru to Wanneroo Rd past ur place. You shouldn't have been out on Ocean Reef Rd anyway! :P

I would lend u my wheels and tyres, but my car is off to BBK on tuesday. I would take te front lip off, as it might be a bit low, but other than that, standard BOV, usual stuff. Make sure all ur headlights are working, brake lights, etc, then you should be fine.

What did they actually sticker you for?

They got me for the tint, which is a little dark i guess and that was all
Is it true that the ride height is now 100mm at the lowest point on the car?
also if they miss spell your name does that void the sticker?
Cheers

Are the boost controllers and fuel management systems illeagal. I need to take my car over the pits and was wondering if these mods would pose a problem. Everything else on my car should pass.

Is there any way of getting the permits organised first or do you have to get them at the licensing centre?

Part of getting a permit is them inspecting it first to ensure that it is within the legal requirements/mechanically/roadworthy.
