Default Jdm/aussie sti....

Just had a brain wave guys.....

I maybe buying a club spec 2 with high k's

anyway to cut the stort short after going thru the jap wholesales site thanks to steve

i have had the idea of buying a sti v6 i know this cant be used on the road ie just rallying to and from events with a license, but what if i buy both and rather than swap the bits over like most would, could i not just swap the i'd,s over??

keep both and rego the club spec as normal but drive the sti v6 with club spec plates??? would this be legal with me owning both and having the id of the club spec on the v6, this surely would be easier than swapping everything over???

or should i just wait for club spec to go pop then get a v6 sti lump chucked in?? i just think it would be cheaper to buy the whole car and have all the bits....

Highly illegal. Its on a level with running false plates or stealing someone elses plates for your own car.

Its known as re-birthing and is a favourite trick for those that like to steal cars and hide the true identity of the car.

but is it not the same with swapping every item off the v6 to the club spec??

just seems mad to swap everything over when you can just swap i'ds lol esp getting em both the same color???

is it illegal?? if so dont want to be doing anything dodgy just taking the easy route!!

You can swap bits over as long as you get the right permits and inform the DPI of the engine number change.

You would need to be damn carefull of how you dispose of the uncomplied shell of the other car...you would need to be sure that if it ever ended up being rebirthed it doesnt come back on you!

Definately NOT LEGAL!
if you were ever in an accident, whether your fault or not, you could either find your head on a chopping block and/or your butt being RAPED.
Definately not worth the risk.
