Lets not forget Roland Ratzenburger who also lost his life that weekend.
That whole event should have been canned from the start. The weekend had already seen some horrendous accidents before poor Roland died. |
Fri -Rubens Barrichello got airborne over a kerb, smashed a wall and rolled several times. Got knocked out, swallowed his tounge. Quick actions by the doctors saved his life.
Sat - Rolands accident Race start, two cars collide, debris injures several fans, a couple seriously. Sennas crash Near end of the race, a wheel falls off a car in the pits, hitting a pit crew member - seriously injured. One of the darkest darkest weekends in the history of the sport. RIP Roland and Senna. |
rip both, its good to see the FIA take the hardline with safety though.
Atleast they have learnt from their lessons, even though they were very high prices to pay for it! |

Shit.........15 years...........wow. RIP to the greatest who ever was.
John Player branding, haven't seen that for awhile too! Nice one TJ. |
The Candy Toleman still does it for me. The car he should have won Monaco 84 in.

Damn, was it THAT long ago? Remember it like yesterday, not exactly the best weekend in the history of F1... and one of the most memorable for the wrong reasons. Sheesh, I gotta stop trippin around the sun! :(
