My Mate has a rattling Air con vent but can't figure out how to get in there to see what is going on.

Never done it myself, but I am also keen to know if there are any tricks other than
the absolute obvious "JUST UNDO THE SCREWS"...

I guess you need to be careful around the airbag so you dont set it off in your face !
Apparently an airbag launching a screwdriver through the eye can ruin your whole day !

Remove the glove box as a first point, see if you can rectify it from there.
