tags have a time and a place, for the most- they are useful.
for the abusers, well they arent so helpful, but we know who they are.

I can see your point with effectiveness especially if you have a mechanical issue and can bring up similar threads on the same topic, but isn't that just another way of using the search function effectively?

But I can see tags just for the humour they are - which is all it is. A bit of fun. Therefore if I want information, as stated, Ill zero in using the search function. And can usually gain what im after from that with minimal fuss, or my beloved rexnet as well.
