You get used to the power and the handling as previously stated.

I have been through roundabouts at what seemed to be a sensible pace and then have seen the horrified "you nearly just killed me" looks on my co-workers faces.

Go drive a hire car for a few days and then get back in your car, you will get that wonderful happy feeling again for a few minutes.
