Drive by wire - no mechanical cable on the throttle control. Electronically controlled.

what if u stuff up ur electronics on the road somehow? will the car kinda go crazy in a "wil e coyote" kinda way?

No, electronic throttle is "fail safe" i.e. if something goes wrong, it just stops or idles - can't get stuck WOT like a cable can
