Default New Unmarked Police Car

Hi guys, just thought I'll share this info with the rest of the forum

On my way home from work today I came across a new unmarked police car at East Perth BP. Its a Holden SV6, and according to the copper that I spoke to, they've only had them for 2 weeks, 9 cars in total.

If you think the new speed cameras are hard to spot, these cars are even worse... No more plain commodore with pursuit rims... Its got alloy rims, rear spoiler, those little front bumper lights, the lot.

Might wanna keep an eye out when you're trying to pass that slow truck in front of you next time...

It's about time they stopped using the usual unmarked units. The people they
are trying to catch by using an unmarked unit are generally very good at spotting
them. They stick out like bill gates at a hells angels convention.

I say they should have more cars which are harder to spot, but this needs to be
teamed up with cops who are willing to pull over nuisance drivers who do other
things than just speed.

I have seen unmarked units behind drivers who fail to keep left, fail to indicated,
are going to too slow on the freeway, and drive erratically, and the cops did
nothing. Keeps coming back to lazy cops who would rather say they pulled over
a WRX driver than stop the idiot with broken window who does an illegal right turn.

Now I am on my soap box... I have little respect for traffic cops simply because
I see them ignore people who really do need a ticket. I also see traffic cops
doing illegal things themselves.

I can just about smell 'em. I have an almost spooky 'cop sense' :P

Seriously though, they're not that hard to spot. The extra gear tacked to the dash, the lights on the parcel shelf and dash stick out like dogs nuts too.

We've got a few unmarked commodores out our way, standard units with some cheap alloy rims, still easy enough to spot.

I saw a regular Magna sedan (newer model) pull over someone the other day.
That was a first, i didn't know they drove those too.
