I get around approximately 450km per tank in a tuned version 6 sti around the city, that's roughly 7.5 litres per 100km.
So you have a ~34 litre fuel tank?? Or is your maths a bit off? :p

450km divided by 60L (average tank size) = 7.5km/L

As MY99 said:
7.5 x (450/100) = 33.75 (correct)

So, Rosso, if you travel 450km on 60L of fuel, your average consumption is 13.35L per 100km's
or
450/4.5 = 100km's
60/4.5 = 13.3

Go talk to ASG and get them to check over the car. As others have said, if an O2 sensor has gone, you're not running efficiently.

With my cars I am getting:
MY98 WRX - 500+km
MY05 WRX - 500+km
Evo X - 400+km

So you should be able to get around 500 on a big drive.

Yep same here. 01 forry, tuned, 8.5-9l/100km easy on a run.

LOL at turbo's are bad for ecconomy. What an idiot. It's scary to think he will soon be a qualified mechanic. Oh man...

I agree, it is scary that this dude will soon be able to charge nearly $100 an hour to work on cars.

On the other hand, how big is a foz's fuel tank? I find it just as concerning that you guys are under the impression that 450km on what I'm presuming is a 60L tank gives you an economy/consumption of 8.5-9l/100km.

8.5-9L/100km's will net you 666-700km's from a 60L tank.

Unless you meant to say your car travels 8.5-9km on 1L of fuel. Which means (from a 60L tank) you should be able to travel 510-540km.

Either way, I'm confused.
Unless of course, Foz's dont have 60L tanks. And if this is the case, ignore all of what I've written.

How dare you bring logic to an internet forum. Banned for life!!!!

RUSSGT 17-11-2009 02:02 PM

How many people drive untill they have used all 60l of fuel? I drive till the light comes on. On a long trip that would be about 560km. Then i put in about 49-52l of fuel. So that equates to less than 10l/100. Does it not?

Maybe 8.5 is a little optimistic but certainly not unachievable if doing 90-100km/h for a long way.

mattmy99 17-11-2009 02:02 PM

Sorry. Back in my box.
Carry on.
