yes direct fit mate, i put some on my 99 gt forester, bit of mucking around with the accel pedal getting the pin out and back in

they actually replace the stock rubber pads, tip: heat them in hot water to make them easier to get on

big plus is these are totally legal unlike the bolt on sti pedal covers

I've also wanted to know this for a very long time. Not particularly keen for bolt-on pedal kits that every man and his dog seems to have, I just like the look of the MY01 steel (aluminium?) pedals with the rubber knobby bits on them. Replaced the stock rubber pads on my MY00 when i bought it and they're already worn right down after 2.5 years of use...

I hate bolt on pedal kits...

I test drove a car a while back that the owner had owned for 15 years from nearly new. It had a god awful set of MOMO look a like pedal covers on it that he told me he put on it the week he got the car.

The clutch pedal wobbled, the brake pedal would spin round and the throttle pedal was so big it caught on the carpet down the right hand side and actually only allowed about 1.5inches of pedal travel. I casually mentioned it only gets a small amount of pedal travel so it wont rev out and feels sluggish "Nah mate thats the sticking handbrake making it slow....you can just start to smell the pads burning"....right...

Get back to the blokes house for a closer look, nope the pedal barely gets any travel because of this catching cover and the 'burning handbrake pads' turn out to be the fact that there seemed to be more oil on the outside of the engine and on the exhaust manifold than there was on the inside.

Its amazing to think this bloke must have been driving around like this for 15 years and never bothered to find out why the thing would only rev to about 4000RPM!
