Exclamation Cant disarm immobilizer

Hi All,

This morning I am unable to disarm my immobilizer/alarm. I have replaced the battery in my key and the car battery is fine (has one of those green indicators on it).

Can someone advise what to do?

Cheers

Here's what happened.

The missus went into the garage and disarmed the car but didn't open any doors.
She then came inside for five minutes.
Then went back out to the car and opened the door.
Alarm goes off and keys won't disarm it.

Brant im assuming?

Same thing happened to me the other day and it acted quite strange. Usually its just a matter of hitting lock/unlock about 5 times each on the central locking and the alarm usually turns away. Then when the car is powered you should be able to enter your pincode into the brant keybad for it to start.

When I left the doors open for too long it refused to let me type in the pincode until I tried about 5 times :s

So far I have tried:

Replacing the battery in my key. Fail.
Disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes. Fail
What you suggested Neil08. Fail.

Weird thing is I can enter my PIN (while putting up with the ear-drum piercing alarm) and the engine light comes on but I can't start the car.

Alarm going off in that scenario is normal....it's a feature not a fault.
You need to close the doors and lock the car with the remote (may take a couple of goes) then unlock with the remote and all should be back to normal.
(You may also need to do the reset procedure...search on this forum)

Found the problem. The woman doesn't know how to shut a boot properly.
