Default Install Guide for Brandt Immobilizer?

I've been having random/intermittent electrical problems with my 02 rex for some time now. Most of the time she starts without a fuss, but sometimes the fuel pump refuses to prime and the engine cranks over tirelessly without firing. The fault also occurs while I'm driving, causing the engine to stall and just coast along in traffic... not good.

I am convinced that the Brandt is the culprit. I found the main Brandt module under the dash, and gave it a bit of a shake. When I shake it with the ignition on (but engine off), I can hear the fuel pump priming repeatedly. There must be dodgy connection somewhere.

My next move was to pull out the Brandt module to inspect the connector solder joints. Turns out that was a bad idea. After re-installing the module I found that my old pin-code no longer disarms the module. Possibly some sort of tamper protection?

So... in order to get mobile again I would like to;
a) Figure out how to get the Brandt to recognize my pin again
or
b) Bypass the Brandt completely (could save me the cost of a tilt tray)

If anyone has any info on the Brandt - such as an install guide - it would be a huge help. I suspect that I am going to need a master pin code of some sort to get me out of this predicament?

Firstly try here:

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthre...ghlight=brandt

If that doesn't help try here:

http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/search.php?searchid=1501811

I would say go to Subaru they are the only legitimate people that have the master code. If your car is still under warranty go and see them ASAP.

p.s search is your friend

Thanks SPEC IV, but I've already done the search and read all of the related threads on this forum (and others).

Cheers to Foxymophandlmama for posting the Brandt User Manual. I had a read through it yesterday. It's good to have, but unfortunately it doesn't have any info regarding systems that have been locked or reset.

People on other forums have been PMing eachother Brandt installation guides & instructions for removing system, so I know this information is out there. Just thought I would check if anyone here has similar info.

I suspect that I might know what my master pin is (probably better if I don't post details publicly), but I would like to get the install guide to confirm.

Hey niq I have seen guys on Rexnet PM each other the relevant info to remove the Brant, I would post over there if you haven't already.

Thanks for the heads up... I haven't checked the relay terminals yet.

I was only able to remove the back part of the Brant cover, which exposed the side of the PCB without the components. The board seems to be glued to the top half of the cover. I might be able to pull the top cover and the board apart with force, but I haven't been game.

Did you get the top cover off, or were you able to locate the relay terminals without removing the top cover?
