I have the suction mount and it works greats and well made. I use it both inside and outside and have full confidence in it, but I did not buy the GoPro camera.

Bringing back this thread instead of starting a new one, but is still on the go pro HD topic.

I've just brought a GoPro HD camera but when filming with the back cover that has the openings I'm getting some crackling in the audio. I've tried filming with the sealed back cover and I get no crackling (but the sound is very quiet) and also tried filming with no case at all and no crackling (however I can't mount it without the case, so this is doesn't help). All of the filming I've tried has been inside the car using the suction mount stuck to the window.

So my questions are, has anybody else had this issue? And secondly, if so how did you fix it? Also any other advise that may help solve this problem would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Justin

Hey Tino. I've got the vholdr contour HD. I use it for a motorbike helmet cam and can link you videos if you like.

I'll PM you since the duke doesn't like to stay on two wheels..

battery life on the contour HD is about 2-3 hrs and it takes micro SD card up to 16 gig.

the clip im linking you is actually 720P @ 60FPS. it also does 1020P @ 30FPS.

EDIT:

Further to that, on this clip on utube you'll see the contour is heaps better in terms of contrast. It's better in metering as well as you can adjust exposure compensation on the camera whereas the gopro u can't.
