Gotta admit the gd cluster does look quite nice in a gc.
Damn Rossco, I was all excited about there actually being a cheap 22b.

not much about this car resembles even the essence of a 22B...

If any of you actually knew the history of the car you probably wouldn't run it down.

True it isn't (and never could be) a 22B, but it was quite a fast car.

I know the history of it, and I'ts a f**king good car. The owner is super fussy, and the car is in exceptional condition. It's a Japanese domestic Type R with full unconditional WA rego, I don't know how they did it, but it has a new VIN as per private import. As far as I can tell it's not a repaired or rebodied car. I've maintained it for the current owner for some time.
The specs are pretty impressive. EJ257 US spec engine, remapped (in Japan) ECU, Syms headers, DCCD 6 speed, Plate LSD R180, big rear hubs, Brembos, GDradiator, Alloy arms etc.
It uses the GD wiring harness and dash cluster, basically everything from a USDM 2.5 GD STi swapped into the type R shell.

It's farking fast too. I've driven some fast Subarus in the past but I near shit myself in this doing a 3rd gear tank slapper.

If he hadn't disgraced himself calling it a 22B you guys would be creaming your jeans not bagging him.

Also states in comments: (standard descriptions do not apply-this car does not fit in any box.) so I guess when he listed it with Carsales that he had to pick a vehicle description that was available that suited the vehicle.
