Agree with you Doug the car is tidy.

But dopey move heading the ad with what he did and it says 'full sti running gear' but nowhere did he bother to mention USDM Sti, just sti.

Where is the STI logo on the cooler?
Where is the red manifold?

Is it a 255 or a 257 in the v-limited??

Here's a 2003 USDM Left hook STI

The driveline donor was aprently one of the 'test yard' evaluation cars that JWS used to bring in back in the day. There was all kinds of stuff in them that never made it to production.
The conversion was done by Ben Grigsby, probably about 4 or 5 years ago.

OMG don't do that!!

When I saw the thread title I nearly died!

I mean I know the average price for a 22B has dropped slightly since the GFC etc but that would have been insane!!

And for the record, what a knob putting 22B on the vehicle listing, although it becomes very obvious it isn't a 22B as soon as you get to 2.5L (that's if the price isn't a dead giveaway).

But yeah, if he hadn't have misrepresented it as a 22B and just put 2-door STI it'd be an awesome car (still is an awesome car but you get what I mean)

I've maintained it for the current owner for some time.
The specs are pretty impressive. EJ257 US spec engine, remapped (in Japan) ECU, Syms headers, DCCD 6 speed, Plate LSD R180, big rear hubs, Brembos, GDradiator, Alloy arms etc.
It uses the GD wiring harness and dash cluster, basically everything from a USDM 2.5 GD STi swapped into the type R shell.

It's farking fast too. I've driven some fast Subarus in the past but I near shit myself in this doing a 3rd gear tank slapper.

If he hadn't disgraced himself calling it a 22B you guys would be creaming your jeans not bagging him.

^^totally agree with you Doug

I too know this car VERY well from my JWS days.

It is nood a bad package, especially for the money.

You're not the only one Doug, left a certain cuzzy bro' riding a bit higher in the saddle more than once.

I'm really surprised with the reputation that the 257's earned just how good and reliable that one is/has been. Remarkable car.

Yep! Hot car, I don't care what the title reads, if I had a spare $30K, I would be driving this for sure!
