how to tell which hubs are 2 pot type

does anyone know an easy way to tell if hubs are to suit 2 pots or not and differance between r160 and r180 hubs ... i have hubs with no discs or calipers and not sure what they are off or which brakes they should have ...

any help much appreciated ...
