Banning IP's would be a bad thing (tm)... Just like the day i decided to jam my fingers near 240v.

If they were with say "Westnet" or "IInet/IIborg" it would most likely wipe out about a third of the users currently on the site. Unless they used say a static IP, it would be an avenue to take up.

There's talk that this is all the doing of holtz snr but I'm not too sure. See I figure holtz-et must use it at least occasionaly since there's a few posts that have "hehe" at the end which is your MO (Modus Operandi - it's laten for mode of operating...
