I've got one. What exactly do you want to know? whats your aim?

KAHNAGE 10-09-2010 04:06 PM

just want to know the reliability, how they perform? how strong, I want to rebuild the engine in my 2door start it fresh, i seen the boy at ASG they recommended it, as for power sides of things looking into turbo setups now i dont use it for track, just a street car.. what else have you done to yours?

They are sick ey.

Allow about 40K for a good motor/turbo/intercooler/gearbox to suit and you will have a good, strong car.

i'm just getting the suspension right at the moment and that's a head ache. (even though its a pretty cheap part)
still pro and con-ing the 205 V 2.5L build.... *sigh*
and yeah even have the stroker kits to consider :(

oh well we do it because we love it i guess

Here's a full list of what i've done - http://www.perth-wrx.com/vb/showthread.php?t=36143 . In terms of strength and reliability i've never had an issue with any of my cossworth bits. just gotta make sure who ever does the work does it right and lets you know if there's anything else you need/should do to ensure you have no dramas. the guys at allstar have done all my work and i've never had an issue with them. Just let them know your future plans for the car and they'll tell you all you need to know! you'll be doing billet conrods and cranks with it aswell yes?? all part of paving the way for a strong car. highly recommend stroking if you'r getting a larger turbo setup

How much would the cosworth kit cost to buy with all the parts and what not? looking into doing the 2 door up and would it be a matter of changing whats in my EJ207 with the cosworth gear eg Pistons, Crank, Rods? as of turbo costs and intercooler costs i will look into that later, but i want to get a rough idea of just costs on the cosworth gear.

Cosworth Forged Pistons (92mm)
Cosworth Fully Counterweighted Forged Crankshaft (79mm)
Cosworth Forged Connecting Rods
Cosworth Rod Bearings
Cosworth Main Bearings
Cosworth Piston Rings

is that all that is needed to build the motor? what else would be needed?

Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
