Wrx sti beats rivals in wheels
Subaru’s revised WRX STI has rated ahead of the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO MR and Volkswagen Golf R in a comparison test published in the latest edition of Wheels magazine.

I dunno about "beating" the evo. Article still said for outright performance the evo is the best of the 3 but the STI is a more involving drive.
Still well done to subaru for bringing back a little soul to the STI.
