sorry bud i meant spindles as in knuckles (yankee talk there)

Not so sure with difference between axles.. cant be more of help there

The outer CV is different as well.(on the front) Not sure if it can be modified or it may be easier to swap over the whole shafts.

different because of where the speedo sensor thing sits?

Yeah, the position of the ABS tone ring. The length and the splines is the same as pre 05.

got them already cheers

so can someone shed light on the front drive shafts and whether they are interchangeable with my shafts? I'd assume that all non DCCD cars would run the same shafts?

the later shafts (to suit the 114.3 pcd hubs) have a male spline on the inner cv.

you will need to remove the stubs from the gearbox and change the side oil seals to the correct ones to suit the late shafts.

apart from that, it's dead easy.

hmmm alright, I think I'll just use those adapter collars for now and see how it goes
