does anyone know about an engine management system called pro chip? issit any good? and where is the best place to get it installed and tuned? tanx.

prochip is the early version of unichip...will do the job fine on a mild rex (ie a/m turbo, fmic, zorst etc)...will do as good a job as a unichip will as the boards pretty much haven't changed...if you decide on going bigger injectors etc then a full replacement ecu would be the go instead of the piggyback prochip...

see psi performance or tim slakos for installation & or tuning...

Slug - exactly right. Prochip's are the old Unichip's. APS used to sell their kits with Prochips for old skool shape WRX's (97-98)...but they since renamed their chips to Unichips.

I use to have one on my old MY98. With zorst, airfilter, water injection and Prochip all on a standard turbo I could easily pull 13.1s...

If you mean Formaz... then DO NOT get anything installed there, they are a useless bunch of wankers. Completely stuffed up my car and cost me shitloads of money, not recommended!

they only really do the Apexi Power FC, go somewhere like Maximum Motorsport, Tenagah, Revlimit Motorsport or PSI Performance
