Id be making sure everything on the car is in good shape first, engine wise and braking wise. After the nightmare my car was, make sure your blocks in good shape before booting it around or uppin' the boost.

On a stock or slightly larger turbo a FMIC is overkill on wrx's especially if the car is a daily driver even more so being a 2.0L (would you want additional lag that isn't giving you any added bonus?). If the car is track driven every weekend hard thats a different story. Daily drive with light trackwork = TMIC, all day everyday.

Simply...
FMIC = Laggy, heavy and remove the front bumper beam. TMIC = Better spool, factory stealth, good enough for 95% of the applications out there. (STi spec TMIC not WRX). When you actually need a FMIC, you will know it.
