Default So im thinking of doing something pretty drastic(by my standards anyway)

Basically id like opinions on what can/will go wrong with this idea!
Im fairly inexperienced and need some more knowledgeable perspectives.

Anyway i might

Buy this car http://www.carpoint.com.au/all-cars/...0spec&trecs=15

Swap my boot and rims onto it.(i dont mind if i have to get a spraypainter to match up the paint)
Sell my car.
Remove boost gauge.
Possibly swap exhausts.
CAI/Decap injectors/twinscroll conversion/retune.
Upgrade brakes.

Ive read the build thread on this car and the builder ran the engine in very lean from what i understand but if it passed a compression test she should be ok yeah?

I wanted to eventually rebuild and get a 6spd so this just seems more sensible from a financial POV.
Cheers

Buying something already modified is always going to be cheaper initially. It may be a time bomb, it might last forever... it's a gamble you gotta take.
But yes, 17k is cheap. Definitely cheaper than doing the mods yourself.

Rims on both cars are decent.

Na tomorrow is the day, then off to MMS for a compression test the following week hopefully

Yeah i do like the rims but i think they will be used to help entice a buyer for my current car, having the stockies will also makes tyres cheaper over the years but limit my brake options :S

Sounds like you have made up your mind, just do what feels right and if everything is working nicely with the car, Good luck mate

Scott (aka scooter) on this forum was the original builder. The engine went and he rebuilt it. Feel free to pm him in regards to that.

The 6speed was done when i owned it, it was sourced and installed by doug (dt rally on forums, who also owns stechnic).

iirc, the current owner swapped out the 2way i installed for what is currently in there.

hope that helps.
