Default kando dynamic's manifold cracking

i know some people have used the kando dynamic's exhaust manifolds, just wondering on the thickness only being 2.5mm, is this too thin for stainless steel, has anyone had the kando ones crack on them after a while?

Thumbs up

There is a few other big brand name headers that crack sometimes aswell eg Perrin, GT Spec, Tomei etc etc, where abouts are they cracking (post pics if you can)?

Did you buy these direct from Kando or from a group buy etc, reason I ask is if it's Kando then contact him and let him know whats going on and see what he says about it.

not uncommon for headers to crack, my last set of ebay spec ones cracked but i replaced them with Kando un-equals had them on for almost a year (CC) with no issues, sold them and now have a set of the kando equal length headers ready to go when my new engine is built...for the price i don't see where you can go wrong, the end of the day they're a consumable item, they'll never last forever.

manifolds will always crack, unless you go for heavy cast items. or have them fitted with flex joints (not slip joints)

If you want your stainless headers to last, DON'T heat wrap them, simple.

Headers and up-pipes break when people delete the gearbox exhaust hanger too.
The whole weight of the exhaust flexes the pipes and headers, something has to break.
