Guys,

Instead of everyone making a new thread about wanting to find out who owned this and that from cars people have seen on the net I thought we could put it all into one thread.

Reason for OP is... one of the young blokes at work is looking at a couple of GC8's in carsales and asked me if I knew who they belong to (or used to belong to).

I think it might be TJ but he sold it years ago. It used to have a very sweet sounding Macey sub in the boot when it was his. Rear passenger side 10" I think.

Hahaha nah the guy at work has had his eyes on it for a while he reckons.

Has been for sale for a while.. Its cheap with lots of mods.ales me think there is ssomething wrong with it..

I went and had a look at this a while back.. Nice guy.
Drives like its on rails :) might be an idea to get it checked over as he hasnt driven it in a while

I'm unsure about it.. no way you would trade in a 427hp WRX with bulk mods to a backyard dealer in Vic Park?

Surely it's about to go pop... Anyway, if anyone is looking for a bargain - maybe get it compression tested at ASG (they did all the work on it) before you buy!

I've seen it at that dealer as well, they've got quite a few Jap cars there. What happened to the black roof and boot :rolleyes:

Dropped from $30k to $19k...

WTF ? No way (goes to dealer to rip rims off and yank the brakes n cage...)

Edit: if it is still modded thats a KILLER deal even for $20k and needing a motor !

Ex-Owner of said car is a family friend of mine.
They got some financial problems right now and his car had to go.
Also from what I know is some of the original parts that came with the car when he purchased it has been removed. eg roll cage etc...
So not to sure if its still pushing 427hp

Considering if it still has a cossie built 2.2 in it and assosciated mods pushing 400+hp , if it's back to stock then neg...no deal lol

EYEZ had no bodykit when he sold it ages ago.

I think eyez had a front mount and his interior was pretty shot.

I also think eyez had straight cut gears so that would be a giveaway

those roof racks are to short and wondering how they mounted them :confused:
Surely the mounts would mount some where closer or on the black strip on the roof and then use longer cross members
I know on most cars and my old astra there are sliders in the black strips that slide forward so you can mount the Rola mounts direct to the channels

Anyone have any experience buying hail damage vehicles ? Should this car be worth significantly less because of the hail damage on roof or do you's think it's just a no go zone ?
