I'd go the 2011 wrx premium - but I may be biased :P

The sti is always a better car - were you thinking a hatch in both cases?

STi has at least the following over a WRX...

Better brakes
Better diffs
Better gearbox
Better manifold
Better intercooler
Better hubs
Better driveshafts
Better seats
Better wheels

So it depends on what you are using the car for. Want a new car, get the WRX, want something that can take a beating, get the STi. (Check the motor very carefully on a 08 STi though!)

I'm only on my first WRX (hatch) so I don't know but would all those elements be true for the '08 STi over the current WRX? I notice that you left out "Better engine" was that by mistake?

The engine block is the same in the sti and wrx for the 2.5L varieties.

Engine differences would be manifold, intercooler and turbo mainly. Of which the STi items are the better.

Saying that they are better, does not mean that they are worth it though. Depends on what you use the car for really. I'd probably prefer a new WRX over a 2 year old STi.

What I'm getting at though is most people think an STi is just a big wing and maybe some more boost or something, which is not the case.

If you want a Semi Hot hatch then the 08 STI.

If want a brand New Very Hot looking Sedan go the MY11.

As Kym aka Impresiv found out there is a 2-3 month wait on a MY11.

If you want the best of both go a MY11 STI or a EMO X

You are not going to get an MY11 STi for the same price as an MY10 WRX!
