MY11 or MY07

Hey guys,
I am considering changing my car, and, at the moment, I am looking at either...
MY10/MY11 WRX
or
MY06/MY07 STi

The advantages / disadvantages of a brand new car (MY11) aside, I was looking for some of your opinions on which would be the better option and why.

I like the look of both (sedans) so cosmetics aren't what I am thinking about at the moment.

Use of the car?

Daily driver... MY11WRX.

Weekend warrior... MY07 STi.

my06/07 STI.

They can still be a very nice daily driver if you dont go to crazy with mods.

I might be biased

11, so you get a warranty.

^^ this.

For a daily they are a nice bit of kit.
A little bit of tweaking here and there turns it into a fun daily :D
Will be happy to take you for a spin if you wish.

disadvantage number 1 Chris, to buying a new car... the long wait :/

I'll tell u the advantages in 2 weeks time when I get it!

Primarily daily... if you can call driving it 1 out of 2 weeks daily. :p
Will be used sometimes for skidpans etc, but not overly often.

Yeah, will end up doing some mods eventually, but not over the top... exhaust, verso, thats the bulk of it....

I'd be going the STi if you're used to having a modified car...

If you're likely to leave it stock and would prefer the factory warranty etc... Then obviously the MY11 is the way to go!

There is a fair difference in cost though between an 07 STi and an MY11 WRX, and I would have thought you could get into an 08/09 STi for around the same money as the MY11 WRX... and that may still have some NCW remaining?
