Default MY11 or MY07

Hey guys,
I am considering changing my car, and, at the moment, I am looking at either...
MY10/MY11 WRX
or
MY06/MY07 STi

The advantages / disadvantages of a brand new car (MY11) aside, I was looking for some of your opinions on which would be the better option and why.

I like the look of both (sedans) so cosmetics aren't what I am thinking about at the moment.

my06/07 STI.

They can still be a very nice daily driver if you dont go to crazy with mods.

^^ this.

For a daily they are a nice bit of kit.
A little bit of tweaking here and there turns it into a fun daily
Will be happy to take you for a spin if you wish.

Primarily daily... if you can call driving it 1 out of 2 weeks daily.
Will be used sometimes for skidpans etc, but not overly often.

I'd be going the STi if you're used to having a modified car...

If you're likely to leave it stock and would prefer the factory warranty etc... Then obviously the MY11 is the way to go!

There is a fair difference in cost though between an 07 STi and an MY11 WRX, and I would have thought you could get into an 08/09 STi for around the same money as the MY11 WRX... and that may still have some NCW remaining?
