Its the VW sales model

Have tons ready to go, but only supply slowly to create the belief that everyone wants one and you must get one too.

I went from looking at an MY07 STI to an MY11 STI, alot of the 07's are completely thrashed that I was looking at and they had heaps of km's on them. Easier to get a brand new car I think.

Any dealers who are so short sighted to be rude to customers now, will have quite a shock when the market changes again.

I know a certain Subaru dealer who will never get my money, due to their high and mighty sales pitch/policy.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I also can't believe how dealers expect you to roll up and just pay RRP. Are there actually that many people being silly and paying full price?

Although I guess the days of cheaper for cash are gone, as dealers make a crap load more out of finance.

Have not driven a MY11 but have driven stock STi 07 and fruit up STi 07 back to back.

It's a completely different animal, power delivery and handling shown significant difference.

My STi 07 is for sale, PM me if you keen to compare

Don't buy a stock 07 STi unless you plan to mod. Handling in them stock is terrible!

Man... Have you ever driven any other 'regular' car's?

That is just a ridiculous statement unless you're comparing it to more expensive sports/exotic cars?
