LOL What a classic!

So to stay in the suspension topic, I got whiteline superlow springs & alloy rear swaybar links. What does this mean? What do they do?

I know nothing about these things so a quick info on them would be good... the car is a MY00 GC8 sedan. Can anyone give me a hand at all here?

In rough order of doing (given you already have springs):

(1) Anti lift kit
(2) Rear swaybar...adjustable... 22 or 24 mm
(3) Front swaybar ...fixed
(4) Rear links (which you seem to have)
(5) Rear swaybar chassis mounts
(6) Koni top adjustable shocks
(7) Camber bolts (or preferably adjustable top hats)
(8) Front upper tower brace
(9) Rear upper tower brace
(10) Front under brace

All above and a decent alignment starting with about 2 deg neg at the front and 1 - 1.5 rear can be done at Wheels World...John Fowler 9244 2277.

Then put in some decent brake fluid, some Ferodo DS 2500 pads, then get out and do some driver training days.

This would be a good starting point.

Any reason why you would do anti-lift kit before you do sway bars???

I did mine in a different order..

Springs, camber bolts, alignment, adjustable front & rear sways, endlinks & support brackets, strut braces. All done by John Fowler. The car handles pretty damn good.

Anyone know what the deal is with rear strut braces? I saw this V-shaped brace on an STi, are they any good?

yeah i'm thinking the front & back swaybars, then antilift kits. i believe the swaybars make the car more rigid & turns better?

I found it reduced body roll dramatically. The car just feels very planted, neutral and predictable. Probably the best mod i've done! I may do anti-lift soon, but don't think it's necessary for me at the moment.

why not try to add more castor with adjustable top hats as well, where you can pull the centre of the top hat closer to the fire wall, anti lift kits woulf give a half degree... more castor less camber is needed ......

Not from great experience but I think nauli’s list as above is pretty good, for the classic models I’d put
1. rear sways essential
2. front sways highly desirable
3. driver training
4. the rest
When I asked Wheels World John Fowler for advice I got such a long lecture that I thought ..??… then I went ahead with what he said, and found, yep the change was exactly what he said.

Chee – that link is cool!
