MY05 sti is the one you want.
207 6 speed DCCD brembos DCCD is "driver controlled center diff" 6 years old now. Km's will range greatly and could be up towards the 200k mark. Just remember, km's aren't everything. Expect to pay between 27k and 31k ish.

2005 STi. Was the last model with the 2 litre engine. It was the best refinement of this engine. + 6 speed, brembos. Average is 20k to 25k per year. So expect an 05 to have about 125K on it. Driver Controlled Center Differential Google it.

Model you're looking at is called a 'peanut' (or 'blobeye' according to some US sites).
'05 has upgraded hubs and runs 5x114.5 lug spacing, '03-'04 runs 5x100. Important for wheel choice, not something you'd buy a car specifically for. '05 also has a bit of a rear quarter panel flare I think, just for styling differences. As previously mentioned, '05 is the last 2L STI (that we got anyway) and has pretty much all the fruit, so is probably your best bet. DCCD is Drivers Controlled Centre Differential, read up here: Subaru Drive Performance Magazine : DCCD - Driver Controlled Center Differential No idea about prices and kms, but I'm sure there are plenty of people here who can provide some insight! |

Nice link Patch, very informative.
Def go the 05 model, it's got the best of everything...... You can also find some lower km ones on carsales and such but you will probly have to pay 34-5k that's with 50,000-60,000km, these models keep their value quiet well |

PS. dont go to a dealer and give them 32 grand for an 05 sti. there is one on carsales, mint condition. black with black rims. 108km exhaust ecutek and coilovers for 27grand ono.... i recommend that one.. everything you need right there..

Like others have said, MY05 STI is the way to go...
Hopefully you have an easier time than i did....i spent close to a year waiting for a low km stock crystal grey....ended up going 06 Probably my own fault for being too fussy... |

Buy over east, save dollars.
WA is stuck in a fucking fairly land with car pricing.

What does it matter Alex, you'll sell it in 3 months to buy a Silvia anyway
