I also had a 96 sedan with 17"x7"rims and 215x40x17 tyres. One set did scrape and other didnt, depends on the top profile of the tyre. Guards were rolled too.

If youre worried about yellow stickers and insurance check this website. http://www.dpi.wa.gov.au/licensing/m...ions/tyre.html

Most importantly check with youre insurer with what they allow. Some only allow what the ADR requirements are. Whilst checking youre insurer out ask about what they allow for lowering the vehicle. Some dont like anymore than 25mm.

Hope this helps.

You put staggered rims on a Rex you will fuck the centre diff, because overall diameter will be SLIGHTLY different.

I think the biggest I've seen on an old model is 8 inch wide. 8.5 you would be PUSHING it, I'd put it down as impossible, 9.5 NO CHANCE!

I think you need to buy your neons first before fitting your 22 inch spinners. T66 turbo and NOS no doubt to follow.

Go the 16 inch black stocker rims..... when performance counts.

18 x 7.5 with the correct offset will fit nicely, similar can be said with 19's but you need correct offset and tyre load ratings. Load ratings are necessary. also bare in mind legality's. 2 inch's over std rolling diametre. width is limited to 7" but generally 7.5" wont be an issue. any bigger it'll rub anyway. 19's on a classic will ride like shit imho unless you have the suspension/chassis work to suit.

The stud pattern are different between skyline or even nissan to subaru, it's 5x114.3 and 5x100, so it wont fit unless you change the studs pattern, 8.5 width of 18's wheels fit nicely without scrubing to my05 sti on standard height, however i've seen my02 fitted with 17x9,5 advan rg as you've seen the jun sti ra, but you'll have to roll the guard make it a bit wider and of course you must have coilover, and proper wheels offsets / tyres setup. it looks nice though

Don't forget this bit.

I've heard of RS's with 4 of the same size wheel but with new tyres on the front and bald tyres on the rear being enough to fubar the centre diff
