Also thought it was the STi wing when first drove past, main reason i turned around and went back to check it out... Do like the colour of the car and the rest of the body kit even though factory does look mean.

Could you assume it would be a pretty straight forward job dropping a EJ207 long motor in a BRZ? I wonder if the 6 speed is as strong as the sti 6 speed? Subaru use the same 6 speed in all their cars with 6 speeds? (eg, forrester diesel etc)

There are different 6 speeds out there Pete. Not all are the 'bulletproof' sti ones.

A few of the drift cars are running EJ257's in them, so it fits, but requires custom stuff.

Heaps of turbo kits available now too, which would be the easier option.

6 speed in the BRZ is completely different to any other Subaru box.
